When is Aaron Rodgers guest-hosting Jeopardy?
Aaron Rodgers debut as the guest host of Jeopardy! will be this coming Monday, April 5.
He will be the guest host for two weeks, through April 16. During his appearance on The Pat McAfee Show, Rodgers said Trebek was one of his idols.
"One of my idols growing up was Alex Trebek," Rodgers said during his appearance on the The Pat McAfee Show in January.
"They're doing some guest-hosting spots. It's going to be released here very soon, but I had the opportunity to be one of those … I'm excited about the opportunity."
Rodgers later learned he was not supposed to make that announcement at the time.
"I may have jumped the gun a little bit, so I apologize to 'Jeopardy!' if they wanted to announce it," he said.
"I just got so excited on the show earlier. It just went down the last couple of days, us figuring it out. It is very exciting. It's for the offseason. We'll be even more excited when that opportunity gets a little closer, but, man, the show has been so special to me over the years."
Rodgers first appeared on Jeopardy! as a contestant in 2015 and walked away with a $50,000 donation for his choice of a charity.

She said: “So it’s kind of funny. Everybody right now is freaking out over it and we’re like, ‘Yeah, we’ve been engaged for a while.
“He’s, first off, just a wonderful, incredible human being. But I never thought I’d be engaged with somebody who threw balls for a living.
"Like, I never thought as a little girl… ‘Yeah, when I grow up, I’m gonna marry someone who throws balls! Yeah!’ But he’s really just so good at it.”

Executive producer Mike Richards told USA Today that the show picked guest hosts that wanted to honor Trebek’s longtime work.
Richards said: “There are people just kind of in the orbit that I knew feel very strongly about stepping in, not to try out for the role but to honor Alex. This is not a host competition. These are people who love this game, and their respect for Alex is off the charts.
Adding: "Each person brings their own intense love for the game. Aaron Rodgers loves that game at a visceral level.”
Richards also dished that the show is considering the hosts to become permanent, but nothing will be set in stone until the premiere of the 38th season in September.
