Princess Eugenie and her husband Jack Brooksbank have announced the name of their baby boy, who was born on February 9 2021, Buckingham Palace said.
The couple have chosen to give a sweet nod to Prince Philip with their name choice, who is currently in hospital in London at King Edward VII.
Jack and Princess Eugenie have named their first child, August Philip Hawke Brooksbank, the Palace confirmed in a statement.
New parents Eugenie and Jack also shared a new picture of themselves with little August, who appears wrapped up in a blue blanket in the snap.
Beaming Eugenie is smiling in the picture as Jack holds their first born next to his wife, whom he married on 12 October 2018 at Windsor Castle.
Princess Eugenie also shared the snap with her Instagram followers, who she thanked for sending "so many wonderful messages."
In a sweet caption, she wrote: "Thank you for so many wonderful messages. Our hearts are full of love for this little human, words can't express. We are excited to be able to share these photos with you."
She also revealed the picture was taken by the couple's midwife and thanked the "essential workers" who helped deliver and discharge August.
The image is the second picture the world has seen of baby August, who was first revealed in a sweet Instagram post.
On the day of his birth, his parents chose to share a black and white image of their son with both of their hands cradling his tiny fingers and wrist.
Alongside the image she posted four blue hearts, confirming the gender of their first child.
The post received hundreds of thousands of likes within minutes with congratulations from people all over the world, including a like from mum Sarah Ferguson, the Duchess of York.
