A lorry was left hanging over the edge of a bridge above a dual carriageway after overturning in Suffolk.

Traffic was held on the eastbound carriageway of the A14 at Copdock, near Ipswich, while police dealt with the incident. 

One eyewitness claimed the lorry was hanging ‘precariously’ over the edge of the A14 and the driver had to be rescued through the window.

All emergency services were reportedly in attendance, in addition to specialist road officers who attended the scene.

Drivers were warned to expect delays as recovery of the vehicle was arranged.
