An elderly Manhattan woman who was struck by a Revel moped rider near Columbus Circle last month died from her injuries later that day, cops revealed Wednesday.
Helga Shnitker, 82, of the Upper West Side, was crossing West 60th Street on Broadway in the crosswalk just after 7 a.m. when an unidentified man on a moped ran into her, police said.
Shnitker suffered severe head trauma and was rushed to Mount Sinai Hospital, where she succumbed to her injuries, cops said.
The 23-year-old male Revel rider has not been charged. Police sources at the time of the collision said the victim was crossing against the light.
Shnitzker was the first pedestrian killed in a collision with a Revel rider since the scooter-rental company launched in New York more than two years ago.
Her death came just two months after Revel shut down its New York City operation after three fatal Revel collisions in the span of 10 days.
The company started up again in August with some new safety protocols.
