A video was published on Twitter showing the former President addressing a small crowd at his Mar-a-Lago club. Mr Trump gave the speech this week and told the audience that he will be leaving the Florida resort for the summer.

He said: “So I just want to thank everybody, this is sort of a closeout. Now we go through the summer… we’ll be back in October, maybe a little bit sooner.”

Last week, Mr Trump’s advisors told Insider that the former President and his aides are planning to temporarily relocate to his golf club in Bedminster, New Jersey.

In the videos of Mr Trump’s speech, he appears to continue to claim that the 2020 election was “rigged”.

He hints that enough ballots may be found in the Arizona voting audit to change the election result.

In one clip, Mr Trump said: “Watch Arizona. Some very interesting things are happening in Arizona.”

He added: “Let’s see what they find. I wouldn’t be surprised if they found thousands and thousands and thousands of votes.

“We’re going to watch that very quickly and, after that, we’ll watch Pennsylvania, we’ll watch Georgia, and you’re going to watch Michigan, and Wisconsin, and New Hampshire.”

Mr Trump then continued his baseless claims that the election was stolen from him.

He said: “This was a rigged election, everybody knows it, and we’re going to be watching it very closely.”

Social media users took to Twitter to blast the former President for continuing to make his claims despite Joe Biden taking office four months ago.

One user said: “This is beyond pathetic at this point. He can’t stand anybody getting more attention than him.

“And this is the guy the so called ‘Republicans’ are petrified off? Weak Weak Weak!”

Another Twitter user posted: “Oh how the mighty have fallen.”

A third person tweeted: “Many people say it was the most pathetic thing they’ve seen in their life.”
