Car salesman ranked world’s 19,366th best poker player wins £2.5million in final of game’s top event

A CAR salesman ranked the world’s 19,366th best poker player has landed £2.5million in the final of the game’s top event.

Brit Jack Oliver, 26, finished in third place in the prestigious World Series of Poker tournament in Las Vegas.

Arsenal fan Jack, who quit a job at Jaguar Land Rover to focus on poker, beat more than 6,000 players to reach the final and was chasing a £6million jackpot.

The high roller, of Winchester, Hants, said: “It was like my local casino. But I was up against the most famous players in the world.

“When I eventually did get knocked out, it was a huge let-down even though I had won more than £2million.”

He added the first thing he would do was tell his dad — as he had not even mentioned he was playing in Vegas.
