The flight – en route to Orlando in the US from Amsterdam – was forced to turn around after reaching the west Irish coast.
It emitted a squawk 7700 signal, indicating a general emergency.
The Boeing 737 landed at Dublin Airport around 4pm where it was met with emergency vehicles.
