Adams County sheriff’s investigators searching for suspects who fired shots at Colorado State Patrol troopers.

The Adams County Sheriff’s Office is searching for the occupants of a black sedan who fired shots at Colorado State Patrol troopers on Friday night.

Two troopers were standing in the parking lot of Station 1D in Adams County on Friday night when someone drove by and fired shots, the state patrol and Adams County Sheriff’s Office reported. No one was injured, Trooper Gary Cutler, a state patrol spokesman, said.

Adams County investigators found multiple .22-caliber shells at the scene. The sheriff’s department is leading the investigation.
