What is wrong with Mick Carter in East Enders?

Mick Carter, played by Danny Dyer could be facing another collapse in tonight’s EastEnders as the pressures of stress hits his health.

Previously an anxiety attack while refereeing a football match has caused Mick to fall to the ground leaving him out of breath and panicky.

Mick has been struggling in silence as he keeps his illness secret from his partner Linda (Kellie Bright) who is facing her own worries that her cancer has returned.

There are signs this stress could be mounting as business pressures and worries about his son’s Ollie autism diagnosis take a toll on his health.

Speaking about his upcoming storyline, Danny Dyer told The Sun: ‘Mick is going to go through some really [big] mental health issues, that’s all I can say.

‘It feels like Kate Oates has brought the show back, she is the Queen and we are all hopelessly in love with her.’

So what is behind Mick’s collapse?

An encounter with Stuart Highway (Ricky Champ) also adds to Mick’s woes with another collapse on tonight’s episode.

The pair have had a very turbulent relationship ever since Stuart framed Mick for shooting him. Mick was jailed and Stuart moved in on his wife.

As Stuart approaches him to make amends for his wrong doings, Mick becomes short of breath and collapses to the ground.

Although Stuart calls an ambulance for him, Mick does does not want his family to know what he is going through.

Could Stuart become his surprise confidante in his anxiety attacks? Or will Mick continue to shrug off the medical help he needs?

EastEnders continues on Thursday 15th August at 7.30pm on BBC One.
