Spoilers: Killer Bobby murders another family member in EastEnders?

A nation was dumbfounded several years ago when Bobby Beale (Clay Milner Russell) was unmasked as the killer of his sister Lucy in EastEnders. The bobby we see now is a very different, albeit still damaged, young person but ironically, more blood will spill at the unveiling of the Lucy Beale Foundation – but is Bobby to blame? Will he make the same mistake twice and leave his father Ian (Adam Woodyatt) to die?

Bobby is preparing for the Lucy Beale Award night at The Queen Vic. Ian smugly tells Sharon (Letitia Dean) he has sorted Max (Jake Wood) and he won’t be selling the pub but ashe goes to the kitchen, Max takes his revenge Max threatens Ian – give his money backor he’ll put him out of his misery. Later when watching Sharon do the banking, an idea forms with sneaky Ian.

It’s the day of the Lucy Beale Award Ceremony and it’s all hands-on deck.  Bobby is struggling to decide who to give the award to but Ian tells Bobby he knows who Lucy would have picked to win.

As Bobby gets up to present the award he makes a speech for his sister and Ian joins in, with an announcement that causes shock.

Max is confused – and worried – to see why Ian is looking so smug. Later on, while Ian is having a showdown with Ben (Max Bowden), he is suddenly arrested as a result of his recent actions.

Kathy (Gillian Taylforth) rushes to the station to help Ian but Peter (Dayle Hudson) isn’t as caring and tries to convince Bobby that Ian is in the wrong. Ian immediately blames Kathy for his arrest. Pushed too far now, Kathy serves him some hard truths.

Peter explains to Bobby that they won’t be happy until Ian is gone. Bobby seeing sense in his brother’s words starts to see his dad for who he truly is.

As Ian’s mask slips, Bobby is devastated – but when Ian is then left for dead in the Vic, has history repeated itself?
