Faith Dingle (Sally Dexter) discusses her death in upcoming Emmerdale scenes, much to the dismay of Brenda Walker (Lesley Dunlop), but little do they know that Sarah Sugden (Katie Hill) has seemingly overheard their conversation.

Viewers will know that Faith, who made a memorable return to the eponymous village earlier this year, has been suffering in silence.

The stalwart of the ITV soap has been experiencing severe pain, but she’s refrained from letting her family know the truth, as she’s worried that her cancer might have returned.

Eric Pollard (Chris Chittell) has proved supportive, as has his partner Brenda, who both encouraged Faith to move in with them in order to show her that she’s not alone.

Next week, the odd dynamic between the trio causes quite a stir in the village, with a number of residents jumping to rather interesting conclusions!

Faith, however, has more pressing things on her mind, as she opens up about the possibility of her dying as a result of her cancer coming back.

Brenda reminds her that she doesn’t know for sure if her cancer has returned, and therefore she’d needn’t be thinking along those lines just yet.

‘Well just remember, whatever happens, I do not want to be put in my coffin wearing one of these!,’ jokes Faith, referring to a red wig on the coffee table.

‘Otherwise, I’ll come back from the dead and haunt you!’.

Brenda smiled, but she soon became expressionless, as Sarah had entered the barn, and seemingly overheard what Faith was talking about!

The question is: just how much did she hear?

Emmerdale airs these scenes Tuesday June 20 at 7pm on ITV.
