Clodagh McKenna is a fan favourite on ITV’s This Morning with her delicious recipes and easy kitchen hacks. On Monday’s This Morning, Ruth Langsford and Eamonn Holmes sat down to enjoy a salmon dish Clodagh had prepared but as the show came to an end they wished her luck with her big day as she steps back from her role for a few weeks.

Whilst tucking into the dish Clodagh had made, Ruth asked: “Is this your last cook with us before you go off to get married?”

“It is, it is! It’s my last cook and I’m like a bundle of nerves,” she said giggling.

“What are you nervous about?” Ruth asked.

“What am I nervous about? I’m nervous about walking down the aisle and everybody looking at me and I’m nervous that, oh god I’m just nervous about everything,” Clodagh explained.

“I’m so excited to see my family though and I’m so excited about marrying Harry.”

“Your probably more excited than nervous,” Ruth said reassuring her and Clodagh agreed: “Yeah, I am excited.”

Turning to the camera Ruth exclaimed: “Harry you’re a good man for taking her on. Have a wonderful wedding.”

“Thank you, see you when I’m married,” Clodagh said excitedly to both Ruth and Eamonn.

Taking to Twitter, Clodagh posted: “See you all in 2 weeks @thismorning! That FAB 20 min Ginger and Soy Salmon is up on my website of the @thismorning app.

“Thank you for making my last day at work before I get [married] so special,” alongside a video of her with balloons from the studio.

Many fans of Clodagh’s cooking also took to Twitter to congratulate and wish her well for her wedding day.

One fan wrote: “Good luck Clodagh with your wedding day and hope everything goes well.”

Another added: “Wishing you all the best!”

Clodagh got engaged to Harry who is the Queen’s godson in October 2020 after meeting at a Fortnum and Mason lunch through mutual friends in 2017.

She had announced their engagement on Instagram with a picture of the pair snuggled up, writing: “We got engaged! We are over the moon with happiness and thank everybody for their lovely warm wishes.”

She added she wanted to wait until her family could be together before tying the knot.

“That’s the most important thing,” she explained.

“Even if it’s just a table in the middle of the field and we’re all together – that’s what is important.”

Clodagh had been embracing her newfound freedom after coming out of a long-term relationship and Harry too, had been single for two years following a 25-year marriage and having three children.

Speaking to Evoke, she previously said he was one of the kindest people” she has ever met in her life.

“He’s so lovely and he makes me a better person. He’s made me the happiest I’ve ever been in my life. I’m so lucky.”
