Love Island exes Amy Day and Hugo Hammond had an awkward reunion on Sunday's special episode of Aftersun.

Last month, Amy, 25, and Hugo, 24, had an explosive row on the ITV2 spin-off show where she confronted him over the way he treated her and he claimed that he was her "green card to villa".

On Sunday evening, the two exes came face-to-face once again as host Laura Whitmore grilled the two stars about their past "explosive" argument, to which Amy joked she thought she was "quite calm".

Explaining her reasons, the former Islander continued: "It was just a bit of a shock and just really annoying to feel like your time was wasted and the opportunities were closed off was really upsetting.

"I think because he didn't reach out to show any remorse or understanding, I didn't go on there expecting to be so fiery, it was just almost the first time I had spoken to him, so…"

Asked if she was happy to have "got it off her chest", Amy continued: "Erm… yeah, I don't feel like I got everything off my chest but it was PG."

To which host Laura, 36, then joked: "Don't worry, there is time…"

Hugo then reunited with Amy, as well as other former flames Sharon Gaffka, Georgia Townend and AJ Bunker in the studio.

Talking about his time on the show, the PE Teacher insisted: "As I say, I'll say it again… I left with no regrets. I was just being me, it didn't work out unfortunately. It's a bit weird sitting here now with all four next to me… it doesn't happen to many guys I imagine.'

Hugo said that he didn't meet his "dream girl" on the ITV2 show, adding: "Nothing against these girls, they are all fantastic and lovely, such a shame it didn't work out."

To which Sharon quipped: "I'm just wondering if your dream girl exists… that's all."

Despite admitting she has "more to get off her chest", Amy told OK! last month in an exclusive interview that she "doesn't want a battle" with Hugo.

Amy said that she was willing to put the situation behind her and be civil with Hugo, adding that their argument is "massively over and done with".
