LOVE Island fans were left fuming this evening after the ITVhub crashed due to high demand – with one parent complaining their daughter was left in tears.
Viewers struggled to watch the show via the online streaming service as they were faced with buffering, a glitch in the title sequence and continuous requests to re login.
The channel was forced to apologise after being inundated with complaints from angry fans who had waited a year for their favourite show to return.
They told viewers: “Apologies to users requesting password resets and verification emails for ITV Hub+ – due to high load we are experiencing some delays.
“Please keep trying and remember to check your email address is correct and check your spam folder!”
Taking to Twitter to discuss the issues, one person moaned: “Cheers @itvhub, daughters crying."
A second ranted: "WHY IS MY ITV HUB NOT LOADING I CAN'T WATCH aghhh giving me so much stress #LoveIsland.”
Another added: “#LoveIsland starts and The itv hub is down again. EVERY single time. How have they not sorted this out for big events yet?! #itv #iwantloveislandnow.”
While someone else remarked: “Anyone else struggling with itv hub and stressing that it won’t work in time for #loveisland cause I am.”
And one person revealed what they had to do in order to watch the show after ITV hub went down.
They wrote: “So my itv hub went down so I FaceTimed my mum and she propped her phone against a pillow so I could watch it. I stan #LoveIsland.”
The ITV2 dating show returned to screens tonight as 12 singletons battled it out to find their match made in heaven.
This series has already got off to a competitive start as the two late arrivals – Curtis Pritchard and Tommy Fury – have the opportunity to nab a lovely lady from another lad's arms in tomorrow night's episode.
