Over the past couple of days, Love Island has been going back to what it’s all about ahead of Sunday’s finale – and making it one big love fest.
Despite tonight seeing one couple facing the axe, there was all sorts of romantics moments including a romantic rowboat, a once-in-a-lifetime safari and, uh… and ‘exclusive non-relationship’ being confirmed.
So what exactly has been going on the South African villa as they reach one of the last days of the show?
Here’s everything you missed from day 39 of Love Island…
Another couple bite the dust
Tuesday night’s cliffhanger revealed to the islanders they had to decide which of the two vulnerable couples to save, and which one to send home.
Kicking off Wednesday’s episode, the decision was made and after some soulsearching, the pairs revealed their answer.
While Paige and Finn chose to save Callum and Molly, Mike and Priscilla got to fight another day in the villa after being saved by Siannise and Luke T, Luke M and Demi, and Ched and Jess.
Priscilla later told the Beach Hut: ‘I’m upset to see molly go, because she was literally like my sister, we started this journey together. I love that girl and I’m going to miss her.’
Mike later thanked the boys and told them: ‘It’s nice to see that you guys see something in what we got.’
Safari so good for Mike and Priscilla
After a hectic night, Love Island bosses decided to spread a little love with romantic dates – starting with Priscilla and Mike.
Heading out on a safari together, we were treated to Mike’s actually not-too-shabby impression of David Attenborough as they saw rhinos and lions in the wild.
Finishing the night on a romantic note, they headed to lunch together and spoke about their future beyond the villa.
Assuring Priscilla he’s in it for the long haul, Mike asked her to become officially his girlfriend, and the third couple of the villa were sealed with a kiss.
Paige and Finn were sticking their oar in
Next up was Finn and Paige, who went on a romantic trip to a lake complete with a picnic and a rowboat with a parasol for Paige to twirl.
Unfortunately for Paige, who was kind of hoping for a yacht trip, she ended up having to give her fella a little bit of guidance as he’d clearly never rowed before.
While having some alone time over a pretty sweet picnic and some bubbles, both confessed they were ‘stumbling… tripping… (falling)’ for each other, though neither were quite willing to say the ‘L’ word just yet.
Place your bets now they’ll say it before their time in the villa is up.
Jess and Ched were keeping the fire burning
Jess and Ched spent the evening on the third date of the day with a campfire dinner complete with barbecue sausages.
Twin Jess admitted that she was definitely feeling something for Ched, but didn’t want to make things official until she got the approval of her twin sister, Eve.
Instead, they decided to become ‘exclusive’ with Ched telling her that he was ready to meet her beloved sis.
‘I feel like we should be exclusive. Nothing can break us apart now really,’ he told her, admitting that despite being 23 he was looking to settle down.
Now it’s just Siannise and Luke T’s, and Demi and Luke M’s dates left to be shown on tomorrow’s episode.
Wonder what they’ll be getting up to…
Love Island continues nightly at 9pm on ITV2.
