This year marks ten years since the 58-year-old first wowed the world with her Britain’s Got Talent audition where Piers Morgan was acting as a judge.
At the time, Susan said she had a bit of a soft spot for the presenter, and Lorraine asked the star how she felt about him all these years later and if she still had a crush on him.
Susan took a moment to reflect before she answered: “Let me figure this out.
“His wife may not like this. I do still like him a bit. I’ve grown up a bit.”
To which Lorraine replied: “We’ll never fight over men, you can have Piers.”
“I don’t know what to say, for once I’m lost for words,” Susan retorted.
But Susan confirmed there wasn’t a romance in her life at the moment as she also added: “I’m a single fish.”
Although Susan lost in the Britain’s Got Talent in 2009 to dance group Diversity, she went on to great success.
Lorraine touched upon Susan’s large American fanbase, saying how when she went to the US she was asked if she knew Susan.
Susan reflected: “I think I’ve sort of touched a lot of people, not just America.
“I was a sort of underdog, an example of what other people could do.”
She also spoke on how her onstage persona was different compared to her “shy” offstage one.
“I can be a wee shy person off-stage but when I’m on-stage, I’m different,” she told the presenter.
Susan made an appearance on Britain’s Got Talent during Sunday’s live final where she performed a duet with singer Michael Ball.
The duo sang A Million Dreams from The Greatest Showman, however, their rendition was panned by many viewers.
Some believed Michael had “ruined” the song and that it should’ve just been left to Susan to do a solo.
“Watching #Bgt michael ball has totally failed Susan Boyle she would have sung much better without him #subo,” one tweeted.
Another said: “#BGT Not sure why Michael Ball was ruining Susan’s performance she certainly didn’t need him there. Prefer her solo?”
However, there were others who loved the performance as one opined: “Susan Boyle , Michael Ball OMG amazing #bgt.”
While another declared: “#bgt love Michael and Susan singing.”
Lorraine airs weekdays at 8.30am on ITV.
