KATIE Price is devastated after being left in "agonising pain" and forced to wear her hospital boots after walking again.
The 42-year-old star broke both of her feet in a horror accident while holidaying in Turkey over the summer, and her recovery has not been straight-forward.
She initially shocked doctors with her miraculous recovery, taking her tentative first steps in five months back in November – but things have now taken a turn.
Katie kept fans updated today as she and boyfriend Carl Woods went for a hospital appointment together, with the star then sharing a video of her feet back in medical boots.
A source told The Sun that the reality TV favourite has been disheartened by the step backwards – but her feet were causing her pain.
They explained: "Katie has been left in agonising pain from walking recently so made a hospital appointment to check on how she's healing.
"Unfortunately, they decided that it's best for her to go back in the boots for a little while and hold off on using her feet again.
"Katie is devastated by this as in November she thought she was truly on the path for a full recovery, but she is following medical advice and will be sticking to the boots so that she can hopefully get back on her feet sooner rather than later."
The news comes one week after Katie complained that she was "sore" while on a walk with Carl.
He said that she was "hobbling" as he filmed her making her way through a muddy forest, with Katie putting on a brave face as she giggled and replied: "I am, they're sore!"
The star had to endure gruelling surgery last year where several screws and plates were put into her feet to help mend the fractures.
Katie was initially told she wouldn't be able to walk for 18 months following her horror accident in July.
The mother-of-five previously told The Sun that she feared she'd die, lose both her legs, or never walk again after the horror fall in Turkey.
Explaining how the accident happened, she shared: "We were just all mucking about. It was just a small wall which had flowers on top and I thought it was the same height the other side — but it was a 25ft drop.
"I landed on my feet and it was like cement. I tried to get up and I couldn’t. Then this pain just hit my legs and I’m screaming, ‘My legs! My legs!’"
The damage was so severe that it took an eight-hour op to fuse the bones in her feet back together.
Katie also admitted that she found being pushed around in a wheelchair "humiliating", with Carl acting as a dedicated carer to the star.
Katie was on holiday with Carl when the accident happened, as well as he two children with ex-husband Peter Andre, 15-year-old Junior and 13-year-old Princess.
She is also mum to 18-year-old Harvey, seven-year-old Jett, and six-year-old Bunny.
