The speculation over this year’s I’m A Celebrity…Get Me Out Of Here! Line-up has been rife in recent weeks as ITV viewers prepare for the return of the one of the biggest shows on TV. However, before Ant McPartlin and Declan Donnelly announce this year’s class of 2020, has Shane Richie’s victory been sealed?

The former EastEnders star has been placed as the frontrunner to be crowned King of the Jungle.

Bookmakers Ladbrokes have put Shane’s chances of winning at 5/2 while Giovanna Fletcher is close behind at 4/1.

Former Strictly Come Dancing professional AJ Pritchard is placed at 9/2 and Sir Mo Farah has been given odds of 5/1.

BBC Radio 1 DJ and rumoured final campmate of the series Jordan North is 7/1.

Ladbrokes’ Alex Apati said: “This could be the best series of I’m A Celeb yet with a whole host of personalities set to take to this year’s makeshift jungle.

“And while Shane Richie currently leads the way in the betting, there are plenty of names behind him capable of going all the way.”

Not only are the odds in Shane’s favour but his time on EastEnders could prove to be key.

Lauren Branning star Jacqueline Jossa was crowned the Queen of the Jungle in 2019.

Charlie Brooks beat Ashley Roberts and David Haye to the top position in 2012.

While four years previously, BBC soap star Joe Swash was crowned the winner.

Shane could find himself battling it out for the top spot with fellow EastEnders star Jessica Plummer.

The Chantelle Atkins star was rumoured to have joined the line-up ever since her exit from the BBC soap was announced.

Rumoured newcomer Jordan could also take the top spot if he follows in the footsteps of Tony Blackburn.

The BBC Radio DJ was crowned the first King of the Jungle in 2002.

Radio presenters have an impressive track record on the show and Jordan could easily find himself in the final three.

Iain Lee came third in 2017 while Roman Kemp was beaten by Jacqueline and Andy Whyment last year.

This year’s series will take place in Gwrych Castle in Abergele, North Wales for the first time.

ITV bosses were forced to find a new home for the show due to the coronavirus pandemic.

I’m A Celebrity has taken place in Australia ever since it began but next week viewers will see the celebrities settle into their new home in Wales.

I’m A Celebrity…Get Me Out Of Here! Returns to ITV on Sunday 14th.
