EastEnders dropped hint Tina Carter would die weeks before Gray ‘murdered’ her

EastEnders fans were left devastated as Gray Atkins killed Tina Carter during Monday's gruesome instalment.

The character was murdered by the evil villain after she threatened to tell everyone he killed his wife Chantelle.

It seems the BBC soap dropped a major clue that Tina was going to die in an episode that aired weeks ago.

During the instalment that saw Ian brutally attacked, a chilling comment hinted her painful end.

As Tina and Ian rowed, he told her she could get the pub back "over his dead body".

He also cruelly told her how no one cared about her, and that no one would be bothered if she died.

Ian saying "no one would miss her if she was gone" appear to have predicted Tina being killed weeks later.

Fans were left gobsmacked when the dramatic episode saw evil Gray wrapping up Tina's body in a sheet and locking her in a car boot.

After he chased her around his house, the next scene saw Tina unconscious on the sofa with her phone in her hand.

Some viewers are still convinced the character is alive as the programme never actually showed Gray killing her.

One viewer tweeted: "I don't think Tina is dead".

Another wrote: "I’ve got a feeling Tina is still alive, just unconscious."

"I think Tina is still alive", penned a third.

Viewers will have to wait and see if Tina is dead or alive.

While Gray was chasing Tina and wrapping her up, the scenes were narrated by Denise Fox who was speaking about her abusive ex Lucas Johnson in another scene.

She said: "No one sees them, men like that, they have a face for the world and you believe them.

"They paint a picture and then they get in your head and you start to see yourself the way they see you and then one day, the real world comes crashing back in.

"That’s when they know they have to shut you up because the dead can’t talk."

EastEnders continues on Thursday at 7.30pm on BBC One.
