Coronation Street’s Kelly and Corey spark rumours they’re dating in REAL LIFE with 'partner in crime' snap

CORONATION Street stars Millie Gibson and Maximus Evans have sparked rumours they are dating with a social media snap.

The acting pair, who play Kelly Neeland and Corey Brent in the ITV soap, appeared close in the photograph taken as they went out for drinks.

In the sweet snap, Millie, 17, can be seen looking lovingly towards her co-star, placing her arm on his shoulder and tipping her black hat.

She styled her hair into a up-do, letting her bangs hang down over her shoulders, accessorising with stunning gold jewellery.

Meanwhile, Maximus, who has depicted gang leader Corey since he joined the show in 2019, smiled coyly towards the camera.

He appeared to be leaning in towards Millie as they sat side by side, with the actress cryptically captioning the post: "Partner in crime."

Fans were left speculation whether or not the pair were dating in real life outside of their exiting gang-related soap story line.

"This a new boyf?" one fan kicked off the debate, as a second joined in, questioning Millie: "Wait you're dating irl?"

Others complimented the pair, writing: "Beautiful you're together," as a fourth person commented: "Kelly and Corey. Didn't see that coming."

However, representatives of the pair were quick to dispel the rumours, telling The Sun Online that the couple were not linked romantically.

The source went on to explain Millie's caption was just referring to their soap story line, which sees them both on trial for murder.

Earlier this month, actress Millie was spotted looking glamorous as she headed out for a day in Manchester, taking time off from soap filming.

The star was all smiles as she went out for lunch in Manchester city centre, wearing her blonde hair straight with a parting in the middle and long dangling earrings to go with her outfit..

It was a welcome break for the star who's character Kelly recently revealed she'd been subjected to abuse at the hands of her mother.

Kelly is currently in prison on remand for the murder of Seb and attack on his girlfriend Nina after thug Corey Brent framed her for the crime.

Describing her devastating childhood to the social worker, she explained that her mother would knock her about and then disappear for days on end.

"There were other times when she'd just go missing for days and weeks on end. That was when she was on one," she revealed.

Asked to explain what she meant, Kelly added: "On a comedown or a bender, off with some bloke she'd just met or sometimes all three.

"When that happened I just tried to stay out of her way, or she’d lash out."
