Gary’s fate is revealed as he is sentenced to eight months for perverting the course of justice, which he has already served, meaning he is free to go.

But what will happen to Faye?

With one year in prison potentially on the cards for Faye, actress Ellie Leach talked about how Faye has to pay for her mistakes.

The 20-year-old actress told Digital Spy: "It would be a shock but (Faye) knows she's made mistakes and she has to pay for those mistakes, she's just hoping not in prison.”

Faye attacked Adam thinking it was Ray Crosby, a restaurant owner who sexually abused her and kept quiet for a long time.

The good news is that Ray was charged for sexual assault.

But despite acting in self-defence, Faye still faces a prison sentence.

“She's a good person and she knows she has to take the blame for what she did but she also feels that she's taking the blame for what Ray did to her and that’s really hard for her,” Ellie explained.

"She knows that what Ray did to her was wrong, whatever he says, and it will affect her for the rest of her life and now it feels like she's paying for that,” she added.

Meanwhile, Faye started a relationship with police officer Craig Tinker (Colson Smith). The loveable and soft-hearted Craig has promised to wait for Faye while she is in prison.

Despite wanting to break up with Craig so he didn’t have to wait for her, Faye is pleased to have someone to lean on for support.

Just before Faye is due to attend court, Craig tells Kirk he wants to resign because his connection to Faye can jeopardise his career and believes his relationship with Faye is more important.

However, Faye tells Craig not to give up on his career because of her and decides to end things with him.

Coronation Street will air the court scenes on Monday, April 19 at 7.30pm and 8.30pm on ITV.
