Coronation Street spoilers – Roy Cropper suicide fears as he quits Corrie FOREVER, plus Eastenders and Emmerdale news

CORONATION Street's Nina Lucas blames herself as Roy Cropper quits Weatherfield for good, Mollie Gallagher has revealed.

It's been a tough few months for the two characters in the ITV soap, with Nina struggling with the death of her boyfriend Seb Franklin, and the subsequent trial of his attackers Corey and Kelly.

While Corey was finally arrested for the crime, the heartache wasn't over for Nina and Roy as Natasha Blakeman was shot and killed by Harvey Gaskell in a case of mistaken identity.

Harvey had used a gun that Seb's mother Abi had planned to use on Corey before his arrest, leaving Nina and Roy distraught.

In fact, Roy – played by David Neilson – is so tormented by the situation that in upcoming episodes, he decides to sell the Woody, put the flat in Nina's name and leave Weatherfield for good.

His breakdown leaves fans fearing he might even take his own life.

    Corrie star's cancer fight

Coronation Street star Victoria Ekanoye will have a double mastectomy after being diagnosed with breast cancer.

The 39-year-old, who played Angie Appleton from 2017 until 2019, says she is determined to beat the disease for her baby son.

She’s now preparing to undergo preventative measures after her shock diagnosis.

Doctors hope Victoria won’t need any other treatment, but there’s a risk she’ll be kept in hospital over Christmas.

Victoria – who will have reconstructive surgery at the same time – told OK! magazine: “I just want to get it done and get up off the floor and start living my life.

“But it’s scary as I know there are risks with surgery and I’ve got my little boy.

“I want to make sure I’m here for him.”

Explained: Where are Adam Woodyatt and Simon Gregson?

LAST night, this year's I'm A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here! line up was finally confirmed by ITV.

The 10 stars, including Richard Madeley and Frankie Bridge, dressed in the trademark castle uniform as they posed for their official photos for the ITV series.

However, there was one big question on everybody's lips; where are Adam Woodyatt and Simon Gregson?

The Sun exclusively revealed earlier this year that I'm A Celeb bosses had secured not one but two soap legends for the upcoming series.

And while they haven't yet posed in their own red bodywarmer and hat, we can confirm that they are still part of the line-up.

The two men will join the castle as late arrivals next week after the series has already kicked off – which is sure to secure some early iconic moments as they will no doubt need to take part in a Bushtucker Trial as part of their entrance.

Don't you know who I am?

Corrie bosses are facing a backlash after the soap’s stars were asked to help flog products for tiny fees.

Producers have signed placement deals with the likes of Costa Coffee, Co-op and EE.

A Costa shop opened on the cobbles three years ago, while hoardings advertising a new branch of phone firm EE in Weatherfield appeared in the summer.

But further collaborations with the brands sees ITV chiefs expecting the cast to promote companies by incorporating branded snacks and drinks into scenes and getting actors to pose with them.

Some are being offered just £100 a month to effectively give endorsements in front of millions of viewers.

A source said: “It’s an absolute joke — it’s insulting.

“Bosses are raking in tens of thousands for deals while they are getting the off-cuts.

“Some can command much bigger fees to promote products away from the show.”

    Who are Adam Woodyatt's children?

Adam Woodyatt had two children with his ex-wife, Jessica Jade and Samuel James.

Their son Sam actually appeared in the EastEnders episode in which Ian Beale was arrested.

He played the police officer who was seen putting handcuffs on him.

In 2016, Sam suffered a serious injury after an accident that saw him hit by a car.

Just months later, he defied the odds and made a recovery in order to run the London marathon alongside dad Adam.

    Left high and dry

The Sun exclusively revealed that Adam Woodyatt Beverley was devastated when Adam left the family home after 22 years together without warning.

A source said at the time: "Bev has kept a dignified silence for the sake of the children but this isn’t the amicable split that’s being portrayed.

"Adam walked out on Bev nearly a year ago without explanation. She didn't even know where he'd gone.

"She's only seen Adam once since he left and she's no idea why he walked out on her. He’s shown her no respect at all.

"The media briefings all seem to be about protecting Adam's reputation and that of EastEnders. Bev's obviously hugely upset about the way she's been treated."

    Helping from beyond the grave

National treasure Babs, who died of Alzheimer’s at age 83 last December, left cash to good causes, relatives — and her on-screen sister as well as £4.6 million for husband Scott Mitchell.

Babs also left £5,000 to sister-in-law Marsha Alexander and her husband Laurence, plus £2,000 each to cousins Leslie Larsen and Julie Elliot.

The rest of her £4.63million estate went to third husband Scott, 58, who she married in 2000.

The Sun revealed in March that he inherited the company she used for her TV pay, worth nearly £1million.

Babs also left £1,000 each to seven charities — the NSPCC, Breast Cancer Care, Help The Aged, showbiz organisation Grand Order Of Lady Ratlings, National Osteoporisis Society, Headley Court wounded soldiers rehab centre and Age UK.

Eastenders star hailed for tribute to the deaf community

IT has been hailed as the television moment of the year – and a triumph for the deaf community.

Strictly viewers were moved to tears as Rose Ayling-Ellis, 26, and pro partner Giovanni Pernice danced in silence on Saturday night during their Couple’s Choice routine, which scored 39 out of 40.

Now campaigners hope it could lead to greater equality for disabled people — as well as better under-standing of deafness.

Former Strictly contestant and Invictus Games medallist JJ Chal-mers said EastEnders star Rose’s dance would help “get us to where we want to be” with regards to attitudes around disability”.

Speaking yesterday, ex-Royal Marine JJ, 34, said: “We are making massive inroads to where we need to be in society and within broadcast, and that is wonderful. People like Rose will get us where we want to be.”

He added that it’s “nice to see people talking about her disability, yes, but also being able to look beyond it”.

    Share the wealth

Wife Beverley, 56, is said to be struggling financially and surviving on hand-outs from loved ones since they split last summer after 22 years.

She was furious after he signed a six-figure deal with ITV to appear on I’m a Celeb, which starts next Sunday.

Adam, 53, made the pricey purchase from a showroom in Lincoln. The Sun understands he traded in his old vehicle.

The star — who has played Ian Beale in the BBC soap since 1985 — has been living in a motor home while touring with a theatre production.

A source said: “He’s spared no expense. It might please him, but it’s not going to put a smile on Beverley’s face. She’s said to be struggling.”

Inside EastEnders star Milly Zero’s life

EASTENDERS fans are used to seeing star Milly Zero in the role of the scheming Dotty Cotton.

The young actress' life is a world away from life on Albert Square, with glam nights out and a famous rapper boyfriend – not to mention her lookalike mum.

Milly, 22, joined the cast as Dot Branning's granddaughter in 2019, replacing Molly Conlin who had previously played the role as a child.

And it's not the first time the Peckham-born star had been on TV either.

A former BRIT school student, Milly graduated in 2017 with trio of A-Levels in English Literature, Dance, Music and Theatre.

But the budding star actually made her television debut when she was 13 in CBBC's All At Sea.

When her role on EastEnders was announced, Milly gushed: "I am honestly so excited to be playing Dotty Cotton and joining the E20 family, especially playing alongside June Brown, who I have been watching on my telly since I was a young girl.

“Her and Dotty have such an interesting relationship to explore with a complicated history, so I can’t wait to see what the future holds for them. It all feels very surreal and I am buzzing already."

    Darkest days

In an exclusive interview with the Sun, Gemma Oaten described how hospital staff used the ITV soap as a reward, only allowing her to watch it if she had made sufficient effort to eat.

She said: “I nearly didn’t make it because of the eating disorder. I almost died four times. I spent a lot of my life in hospitals, eating disorder units and psychiatric units. My favourite TV shows got me through.

“Some of these places were backwards in their approach. The psychiatric unit I was in when I was 11 was brutal.

Her eating disorder caused Gemma to suffer a heart attack when she was just 18 years old

“It was very much reward and punishment, so if I’d put on weight I’d be allowed to watch television. I’d watch Coronation Street and escape into it and have that little bit of fire inside me thinking, ‘I can beat this eating disorder — I can get better and go for my dreams’.

“Eating disorders make you lose sight of a lot of things, but I still dared to dream that I’d be on Corrie one day.”

    Who is Lucy Fallon?

Lucy was catapulted to stardom at the age of 19 when she was cast as 13-year-old Bethany Platt on the long running soap Coronation Street in 2015.

Her screen mother was much loved Sarah Platt played by Tina O’Brien, and her screen grandmother was Corrie icon Gail Platt played by Helen Worth.

Fallon landed the role of Bethany after actress Katie Redford, was fired after lying about her age.

She later went on to star in TV soap Doctors.

Fallon joined the soap when her character returned to The Street with her mother after the tearaway teenager was expelled from her school in Milan.

Emmerdale newbie playing Fiona has already had a role on the soap

EMMERDALE has welcomed another actress to their growing list of talented cast – but the newbie playing Fiona has appeared on the soap before.

Yemisi Oyinloye has caused havoc on the show, after her character caught the eye of Nate Robinson (Jurrell Carter).

On a boozy night out, Nate starts to chat to Fiona, before heading back to her place – despite his partner Tracy Metcalfe (Amy Walsh) waiting for him at home.

Tracy is actually pulling out all the stops in her quest to add spice to their romance after Faith suggests she plan an intimate evening.

Tracy attempts to lure him home by sending him a sexy selfie, but at the same time Nate breaks his mobile while he's busy chatting up fellow Fiona.

But avid Emmerdale viewers may recall seeing Yemisi back in July 2018, when she appeared as a receptionist at Abbott Lane Surgery.

And if you're also a fan of fellow ITV soap Coronation Street, you may remember her taking on the role of another receptionist.

However, Corey Brent (Maximus Evans) was recently found guilty of the crime.

Since returning to Weatherfield, Kelly hasn't had the easiest of rides as the Street have been less than welcoming towards her.

Tyrone Dobbs punched as he goes on a date with Gemma Oaten’s Isla

TYRONE Dobbs gets punched after he goes on a date with Gemma Oaten's new alter-ego Isla next week in Coronation Street.

The newbie made her first appearance on the ITV soap on Wednesday and fans have already called for her to become a regular character.

When the mechanic – played by Alan Halsall in the hit show – found out that his daughter Hope wasn't invited to a party, he wasn't happy.

He confronted the child's mum as Isla looked on.

She later approached Tyrone and said that she loved the fact that he stood up for his daughter and said they should all grab a milkshake together with their children.

Isla flirted with Tyrone as they all sipped on their drinks and she said that they should hang out together just the two of them.

In an upcoming instalment of the show, the pair meet up for a bite to eat at Speed Daal.

The date goes extremely well and they are in high spirits as they leave the restaurant.

Coronation Street and Emmerdale fans LIVID as soaps cancelled AGAIN in schedule shake-up

SOAP fans have been left seething that both Coronation Street and Emmerdale have been cancelled AGAIN.

ITV viewers will experience yet another schedule shake-up as bosses ditch their favourites to air a World Cup 2022 qualifier game.

Instead of the latest action from the cobbles and the Dales, England will go head-to-head with San Marino with a broadcast starting at 7pm.

Those who were less than pleased about Corrie and Emmerdale being ditched for the football, raced to air their views on Twitter.

One complained: "Bloody football AGAIN tonight! So no #emmerdale".

Before joking: "Right. Well we'll have to do our own episode then".

Another moaned: "Corrie schedule is all messed up due England playing football multiple times."

So Debbie decides to take matters into her own hands and starts digging into Ray’s crimes to find something to use against him.

And she does – as she finds proof he paid someone to create the sinkhole in the Platts’ garden.

It led to the deaths of Johnny Connor and unwittingly Natasha Blakeman.

Visiting him in prison she tells him that unless he pleads guilty to sexually assaulting Faye, she’s going to report him to the police for the death of Johnny Connor.

With the sexual assault confession in, it will mean Faye has a chance at appealing her sentence for attacking Adam.

And the soap has already revealed it will be successful.

    When did Corrie first air?

FROM the moment Coronation Street first aired live on December 9, 1960, millions have been gripped by the ups and downs of Weatherfield’s residents.

Its early days portrayed a realistic kitchen-sink drama showing the ordinary day-to-day lives of working-class northerners, and the show was considered ground-breaking.

But not everyone liked it. One early critic wrote: “The programme is doomed from the outset . . . with its dreary signature tune and grim scenes of a row of terraced houses.”

Over sixty years on and the signature tune and terraced houses are still there.

    Panic attacks on set

EMMERDALE favourite Anna Nightingale has revealed she suffered crippling panic attacks on the set of the ITV soap after struggling to juggle her workload with motherhood.

The 30-year-old — known to millions of the show’s fans as Andrea Tate — told how she had to be consoled by fellow cast members after one attack left her in tears, saying: “It was like a nightmare.”

Her revelation comes a week after we told how Emmerdale was rocked by an explosive row between cast members including Matthew Wolfenden and Isabel Hodgins.

And Anna — whose character Andrea was killed off last month during Super Soap Week  — told how filming the high-pressure scenes could have easily pushed some cast members to the edge.

Matthew and Isabel had travelled to a waterfall at Tees Barrage water park in Stockton-on-Tees to film what was billed as one of the show’s biggest stunts.

A source said: “A comment was made that unintentionally caused offence, and an argument broke out among some of the cast members.”

Emmerdale stars may be off screen until 2022

Matthew Wolfenden and Isabel Hodgins may not be back on our TV screens until January, show sources say.

The pair – who play David Metcalfe and Victoria Sugden – have not appeared on the soap since October 28 following an on-set row among cast members in which they were involved.

We exclusively reported on the bust-up last week.

The actors have been absent from the set while bosses made enquiries into the incident – although they have both now returned to filming.

Their unexpected absence was explained on screen on Thursday, when it was revealed that their characters had travelled to Portugal to visit Diane Sugden in her new home.

    Emmerdale Christmas horror

EMMERDALE’S famous Woolpack pub is going to burn down in a Christmas horror.

According to reports the beloved watering hole will be half destroyed in a fire and end up being boarded up for the festive season.

It will be burnt out in a dramatic Christmas storyline, claims the Metro.

The Sun exclusively revealed how actor Ben Richards has joined the cast as Gavin, an associate of Al Chapman.

Viewers know Al is desperate to destroy the business so he can sell it and develop it into luxury apartments.

Will he resort to drastic measures to get it done?

It comes just days after ITV teased an explosive Christmas in the village.

The soap teased: “It’s the season of good will, but the underhanded Al Chapman goes sparing on dishing out any joy, particularly when he is feeling under so much pressure.

“Will Al find a solution for his financial problems or could his world collapse?"
