Cheryl to perform at Birmingham Pride three weeks after Sarah Harding death

Cheryl will return to the stage this weekend, just three weeks after the tragic passing of her Girls Aloud bandmate Sarah Harding.

I can reveal the Love Made Me Do It singer has vowed to continue with her planned performance at Birmingham Pride on Saturday.

An insider: “Cheryl will still headline this weekend as planned, despite her heartbreak.

“She is devastated by Sarah’s passing but also knows the last thing Sarah would have wanted was for her to let down their fans.”

Sarah was just 39 when she died this month from breast cancer – hours after Cheryl headlined the Mighty Hoopla Festival in South London.

During her set she was joined by fellow Girls Aloud star Nicola Roberts.

In a touching tribute to Sarah, Cheryl said on Instagram two days later: “Although we knew this day would arrive, I am somehow still feeling at a loss for words that our stunning, unique, crazy, quirky, kind and soft-hearted girl has departed.

“I wanted to extend my condolences to all of our GA fans.”

Cheryl has my utmost respect for continuing with her plans.
