Celebrity Gogglebox: The relationship of Daisy May Cooper and her dad Paul

This Country’s Daisy May Cooper and her dad Paul Cooper will make their debut on Celebrity Gogglebox tonight – and to be honest, we just can’t wait.

The 34-year-old and her father are late additions to the Channel 4 show, but better late than never, eh?

The pair will be giving their commentary on a number of shows including Celebrity MasterChef, Ramsay’s 24 Hours To Hell And Back and news items broadcast on Channel 4 and ITV.

Daisy and Paul will also be back for the series finale of Celebrity Gogglebox the following week.

The mum-of-one rose to fame for the BBC Three series This Country – and she even roped in her entire family to be in it, including her dad.

Daisy is the co-creator of the hit comedy, alongside her brother Charlie Cooper.

She played Kerry Mucklowe in the series, with her performance winning her the BAFTA.

Her brother Charlie played Kerry’s cousin Lee ‘Kurtan’ Mucklowe, their dad Paul plays estranged father Martin Mucklowe, and their uncle Trevor plays Len Clifton.

The comedy explores the lives of young people in modern rural Britain and centres around the lives of Kerry and Kurtan, who live in the Cotswolds.

And as expected, Daisy, is just as hilarious off-camera, as she is in front of it, especially as she constantly roasts her family members on social media, especially her beloved dad.

The latest hilarious video is where Daisy filmed her dad while helping him prepare for an audition – and there were plenty of laughs in there too.

She also posted some screenshots of text messages from ‘Mumma Cooper’ which described her dad as being in a mood with her.

She captioned the snap: ‘So my dad has been doing these video messages for £30 and apparently I caused a s*** storm last night. Don’t worry we’ve since made up, but I had to share this as I can’t stop laughing.’

Although, jokes aside, it appears that Daisy and Paul have a close relationship as she regularly shares pictures of him on Instagram.

Although she regularly catches him off guard, he could be asleep or even just driving in the car.

The duo will join a whole host of stars already featuring on the show, including Laura Whitmore and boyfriend Iain Stirling, Stacey Solomon and Joe Swash, Eamonn Holmes and wife Ruth Langsford and YouTube star KSI.

Nick Grimshaw and his niece Liv returned to Celebrity Gogglebox for series two, as did fan favourite Gyles Brandreth and his best pal and Coronation Street star Maureen Lipman.

Celebrity Gogglebox continues Friday 10 July at 9pm on Channel 4.
