On Friday morning's BBC Breakfast Transport Secretary Grant Shapps appeared on the programme via video link and was interviewed by presenter Charlie Stayt.
But some viewers became more concerned with what was going on behind him rather than what he was saying.
The politician openly discussed the transport situation and whether travel is something Brits can look forward to in the near future.
But although he was trying to make sense of the situation, viewers took to Twitter to address what was going on behind him and why he had two large red boxes sitting on his desk.
One viewer said: "Isn’t @grantshapps elf-important. On @BBCBreakfast with two open red boxes, one flag, one copy of 'Great British Railways', and a poster with his name on show behind him."
