Alison Hammond has appeared to confirm she’s single, just weeks after it was reported she got engaged to partner Ben Hawkins.
The 48-year-old and her gardener beau were rumoured to be saying their “I dos” after her would-be father-in-law claimed that the couple “proposed to one another”.
However, Alison later set the record straight about her “engagement” – revealing that it wasn’t true.

It is understood the This Morning star had been dating the talented gardener for more than two years despite keeping their whirlwind romance under wraps.
But now, it appears that Alison is back on the market and is even eyeing up a role on the brand new parents version of Love Island.
The iconic telly legend let slip her relationship status during Friday’s episode of This Morning (March 17).
Alison and Dermot O'Leary were discussing the upcoming dating show Romance Retreat, to which Dermot said she should sign up.
Speaking about the series, she said: “It’s a great idea,” but her co-host then turned the attention back to Alison.
“Hold on a second, there’s a casting call, Alison," he said.
“ITV is looking for vibrant single parents across the UK,” Dermot added.
To which Alison burst into giggles before coyly replying: “Well I am single, I'm single!”
Dermot then noted how contestants can win a cash prize at the end of the series, while her co-stars egged her on to “do it".
Alison, who is a mum to Aiden, shared: "I'd give the money to charity, but I could do that and find a nice man."
“Your two favourite things," Dermot quipped back.
Viewers watching the hit morning ITV show at home were left wondering if Alison and Ben had ended things following her confession.
“Alison saying she's single on This Morning but thought she was dating her gardener?” mused one viewer.
Echoing their thoughts, a second person added: “Is Alison single now?”
Alison is said to have hit it off with Ben two years ago after she employed him to work on her garden at her West Midlands home.
The Sun then claimed that the pair were also spotted together again on Valentine's Day.
An insider told the publication: “They love to hang out and have been for meals and down to the pub. They're both down to earth and get on like a house on fire.
“She makes him laugh and Alison thinks it's cute he still lives with his parents.”
