Inside the beautiful £4.9million home with amazing views bought by top jockey and TV star girlfriend

A TOP jockey and his glamorous TV presenter girlfriend have splashed £4.9million on their 'dream home'.

The stunning property boasts breathtaking views, six bedrooms, three bathrooms and a four-car garage.

Yet news.com.au reported that the amazing home had been branded a 'doer-upper' despite its considerable cost.

The sizeable Sydney property has been bought by Melbourne Cup-winning jockey James McDonald, 29 and his longtime partner Katelyn Mallyon.

Kiwi jockey McDonald and Mallyon, 24, are arguably the superstar couple of racing down under.

McDonald has been hailed the 'Muhammad Ali of racing' due to his amazing exploits on the track, which included winning Australia's biggest race in November.

The rider was victorious on 16-1 outsider Verry Elleegant – who beat red-hot favourite Incentivise.

Incredibly, bookies had already paid out on Incentivise winning, so certain were they nothing could beat him.

But they were left red-faced and with burned fingers after McDonald bolted home on the Chris-Waller trained runner.

McDonald and Mallyon can now enjoy a hugely successful year in their abode, which features amazing views over Sydney harbour.

According to realestate.com.au, McDonald sold his old three-bedroom property for just over £1.3m right before his Melbourne Cup victory.

The new home he shares with Mallyon is spread over three storeys and is said to be 'largely untouched since the 1990s'.

Jockeys are not exactly known for spending mega money on big homes – but Frankie Dettori has a beauty.

The world's most famous rider, who recently turned 51, joked, 'Jesus Christ, why did I buy such a big house?' in a video with Sky Sports.

Dettori owns a jaw-dropping mansion, complete with a stunning collection of 'frightening' Ferraris, a pool… and room for his emu and pig.
