BUT tonight will be Petr Cech's last swansong.

After a 20-year professional career, the Czech Republic goalkeeper will hang up his gloves.

If he features in Baku, he will be playing against his old club Chelsea, where he won 15 trophies.

Despite being Unai Emery's go-to man between the sticks in cup competitions, the Spanish boss has yet to decide who will be the last line of defence tonight.

Should Cech be given one final chance to win a trophy before he retires?

Or should Arsenal no.1 Bernd Leno be chosen?

ONE man who won't be in the Arsenal team tonight is Henrikh Mkhitaryan after he chose to remain at home.

The Armenian is staying behind, despite being fully fit and available, over safety concerns.

Azerbaijan has banned Armenians from entering the country due to the ongoing Nagorno-Karabakh conflict.

While officials in Baku have previously stated Mkhitaryan would be accepted into the country, the 2017 Europa League winner has declared he will not risk his safety, nor his family's.

THE two sides are steeped in footballing history and titles have often followed the hugely successful clubs.

But when it comes to European success, Arsenal are lagging behind their London rivals.

The Gunners' last continental glory came in the old Cup Winners' Cup, beating Parma in 1994.

Their only other success was in the Inter-Cities Fairs Cup, winning the title in 1970.

By comparison, Chelsea's wait for a European trophy is only six years old at the moment, after their victory in the Europa League in 2013.

That had followed less than 12 months after winning the Champions League.

On top of that, they have two titles in the Cup Winners' Cup and their 1998 Super Cup crown to lean back on.
