Arsenal fans are convinced the experienced official, 53, has a grudge against them.
And many point to their 2-0 defeat at Chelsea in 2015 as the prime example, with Dean sending off two Arsenal players as Diego Costa caused havoc in blue.
Spurs supporters reckon they’ve also been hard done by in games officiated by Dean – despite the ref famously appearing to celebrate Tottenham goal against Aston Villa in 2015.
And both Arsenal and Tottenham fans united on social media to vent their frustration at the appointments of Dean and Tierney in the upcoming derby.
One said: “This is really bad from the Premier League.”
Another wrote: “Mike Dean in a Spurs game against their biggest rivals, lol.”
One tweeted: “The worst ref on the list by a country mile.”
Another noted: “At least we can blame the officials if we lose.”
One declared: “How is Mike Dean allowed to officiate Spurs matches?”
Another added: “Mike Dean had to have the last laugh.”

“It was just his presence, he wanted the best for Arsenal all the time, and if he could find any way of getting one over you, he would do.”
