    MAN UTD pull plug on pursuit of Gareth Bale as Solskjaer convinces Woodward to target younger domestic stars, prior to Premier League fixtures announcement at 9am.

    While the Welshman is available for purchase this summer, the Evening Standard are reporting that the Red Devils will not enter talks to sign him.

    The United manager has convinced Ed Woodward to pursue younger players instead.

    After confirming the signing of Daniel James, developing young players appears to be the priority.

    MATTHIJS DE LIGT is NOT about to sign for PSG, agent Mino Raiola has asserted.

    Rumours were abound today that the player's representative was in the French capital to seal a deal with the Ligue 1 club.

    But he has told Italian radio tonight that a photograph of himself with a Parisian journalist was just a coincidence.

    Speaking to ANSA, Raiola said: “This is the classic example of fake news.

    “[The reporter] asked me to take a picture together, but I did not know who this gentleman was.

    “I have never spoken with him.”
