A savvy shopper has revealed she purchased a beautiful winter coat for just £1 in the pre Christmas sales.

Posting several snaps of herself modelling the chic black coat, she wrote alongside it: "Sainsbury's, £65 coat down to £1! Always worth looking!"

She even posted a picture of the price label, which confirmed the coat had been reduced by £64.

Fellow group members were more than impressed with the bargain and took to the comments section.

Another woman revealed she had nabbed some super cheap baby clothes in Tesco.

Luckily, supermarkets are still open in areas that have been placed under tier 4 restrictions – so it means people can still indulge in a bit of retail therapy.

Posting some pictures of adorable Christmas themed jumpers and cute babygros, she wrote alongside them: "Tesco has reduced loads of baby clothes! Most of the baby Christmas clothes have been reduced to £1."

A fellow mum commented on the post and said: "It's a real thing I got a few bits yesterday I was over the moon about this for my son!!!!"

Another shopper added: "I got my daughter a Christmas jumper from Tesco yesterday down to £3 from £12!"

Meanwhile, another bargain hunter managed to purchase a real Christmas tree for just 1p.

Deciding to wait until December 23 to purchase their festive decorations, the person wrote: "Picked up this beautiful tree from Waitrose this evening for 1p!! Absolute bargain!!"

But for those who didn't manage to hit the pre-Christmas sales, here's a list of stores that will be open on Boxing Day – as long as they're not in tier 4 areas.
