The cheerleader star, who has also appeared in other TV shows such as Dancing With the Stars, has a net worth of approximately $1million (£730,955), according to Cinemaholic. But how did she make so much money?

Monica Aldama, 49, made her fortune as Navarro Cheer’s head coach.

She has been in charge of the team in Corsicana, Texas, since 1995.

According to, Monica had an annual salary of £61,866 as an instructor at Navarro College.

The head coach won the team 14 National Cheerleaders Association Championships and has the record for the highest score ever achieved at the National Cheerleaders Association College Nationals.

However, Monica made most of her fortune after appearing on TV.

She was a contestant on Dancing With the Stars in 2020 for which she made around £135,215 for just seven weeks.

Talking about the show on social media, Monica said: “The show was the hardest thing I’d ever done.

“Still, I would do it all over again in a second.”

Apart from what she made on Dancing With the Stars, Monica Aldama’s net worth includes what she earned from Netflix’s series Cheer.

She appeared on the popular series for two seasons.

The cheerleader coach also makes a considerable amount of money through sponsorship deals with brands such as Robitussin.

Monica was born in Corsicana, Texas, but attended university in Austin.

She graduated with a bachelor’s degree in business finance.

She also received a master’s degree in business administration and management.

Monica started as the head cheerleading coach at Navarro College back in 1995.

However, it wasn’t until 2020 that she became a household name after the Navarro College Bulldogs were featured in the Netflix series.

Monica is married to criminal justice worker Chris Aldama.

The couple have two children together: Austin and Ally.
