Inside Mark Wright and Michelle Keegans affectionate double date to Kensington Palace

Mark Wright and Michelle Keegan put on an 'affectionate' display as the couple enjoyed a double date at Kensington Palace.

The Heart Radio presenter and Brassic actress, both 34, who have recently given a sneak peek inside their stunning garden renovation, enjoyed quality time together at the Royal Style in the Making exhibition to view the iconic wedding dress of the late Diana, Princess of Wales.

Former TOWIE star Mark and ex-Coronation Street actress Michelle appeared to be joined by their close friends John Elmes and girlfriend Claire Elizabeth as they viewed the 1981 ivory antique lace wedding dress which was designed by David and Elizabeth Emmanuel.

Speaking exclusively to OK! a source revealed that Mark and Michelle, who have been married for six years, appeared to be very loved-up as they took time out of their busy schedules on Saturday 23 October for a day of sightseeing in London.

"I could see that Mark and Michelle were happy and relaxed in each other's company and were affectionate with each other. They weren't holding hands but I did see him give her a hug and it might have even been a kiss," they said.

"They seemed genuinely interested in the exhibition at Kensington Palace and interacted with the guides on more than one occasion.

"He [Mark] was dressed casual and she [Michelle] was a bit more glamorous with a fur-trimmed jacket and designer handbag with sunglasses on her head."

Meanwhile Michelle also posted a snap to her 5.2million Instagram followers of the famous wedding dress, which features a 25ft train, that was worn by Princess Diana in July 1981 as she tied the knot to Prince Charles at St Paul's Cathedral in London.

Michelle shared a stunning picture of the bodice, and tagged the location with the caption: "Princess Diana's wedding dress."

Mark and Michelle also enjoyed a sun-drenched getaway to Ibiza in August and were joined by John and Claire on the holiday.

The radio presenter shared a snap of the group relaxing at O Beach, Ibiza, during the summer, captioned: "Absolute squad goals!! IBIZA 2021 crew!! Memories to last a life time."

It comes as Mark and Michelle, who are 'one last push' from completing their five-bedroom Essex mansion renovation, have been targeted by constant scrutiny about time spent apart due to their work commitments – and even matters as private as if they plan to have children.

A source told new! that the former reality star and the actress are sick and tired of having to defend every facet of their relationship from where they live and how much time they spend together to if they’re going to become parents.

"Mark is sick of the constant scrutiny of his marriage,” the source told us. “They get it from all angles, including friends and family who question how often they’re together.”

The source went on to say that Michelle has been very supportive of her husband after the difficult year he has endured, which saw his family devastated by Covid, culminating in the death of his beloved Uncle Eddie.

“He’s been tested with so much stuff family-wise and what people don’t realise is that, behind the scenes, Michelle has been his rock, his shoulder to cry on and the one to lift him up and support him,” our source said. “This year has been really hard for him.”

Both Mark and Michelle have previously felt forced to speak up in defence of their six-year marriage. Mark has said they always make spending so much time apart due to their individual filming commitments work and that 'people don’t need to worry' about their relationship.

He explained: “We both work hard, she works hard – there are no rules in life are there? I might see her for five days, go to work for a day then see her for another five. We see each other plenty."
