A former McDonald's worker has shared a hack to guarantee no soggy chips when you order a meal to go.
Radio producer Bruno Bouchet, from Australia, worked at the fast food giant as a crew trainer when he was a teenager and learned a simple trick to stop the french fries going soggy.
Sharing the secret to his colleagues on KIIS radio, the 35-year-old said: "When you're in a drive-thru, you get given your chips, they end up getting soggy. So I'm going to tell you… the error everyone makes is closing the top of the bag that contains the chips."
Co-hosts Kyle and Jackie O gasp and say: "That's what I do."
Bruno explains the common misunderstanding is that people would think closing the bag can lock the heat and that it will keep the chips warm inside.
"Wrong!" he says. "What it actually does is it steams the potatoes so you're left with sloppy chips. So you're actually steaming them when you close the bag.
"So the hack is simple, you need the heat to escape."
To let the heat escape, Bruno says it is crucial to adjust the chips in the right position by placing them down horizontally because that would "slow the rate of the heat escaping" as compared to placing them upwards in the bag.
He gives a final tip to keep the fries crispy and warm, adding: "Finally stack the bags so they're horizontally at the bottom – and you put the burgers on top of the chips to keep them warm.

McDonald's has recently updated their menu just in time for a feast during Easter holiday.
Items such as Cadbury Creme Egg McFlurry and Chicken BBQ Smokehouse Burger are making their comeback until May 5.
They also confirmed that the popular McDonald’s Monopoly game will be going ahead this summer.
