Levine met his wife, Victoria Secret model, Behati Prinsloo, when he was searching for a model to star in one of his music videos. Although she wasn’t able to take the job, the pair kept in touch, and eventually, Prinsloo agreed to a date. “He took me for dinner and we talked for hours and had the best time. It was love at first sight, it was crazy,” Prinsloo told People about their first date.

The couple were married in 2014, with Jonah Hill officiating the wedding. They now have two daughters, Dusty Rose, and Gio Grace.

Adam Levine and Behati Prinsloo want more kids

Prinsloo has always wanted a lot of kids, and her and Levine are in agreement about adding to their family. However, when Prinsloo appeared on The Ellen DeGeneres Show, she revealed that they don’t necessarily agree on how many they should have. “He wants five,” she said of her husband. “I thought I wanted five, but now I think maybe three or four would be good… Adam can’t have everything. I’m carrying them!”

She has a point. Luckily, the couple doesn’t have to make a decision right now. They both agree they want at least three, so adding another child, to the two they have now, should be a no brainer. Keep your eyes peeled for a pregnancy announcement. It sounds likes it’s very likely.

We know Adam and his wife want to have more kids. We also know that part of the reason he quit The Voice was to have more time with his family. It does seem logical that now would be a good time for them to add to their family. Especially since their youngest daughter is now 2 years old, an age where many families start to think of the next child.

However, it’s hard to say that having more children was the only reason Levine quit The Voice. It’s much more complicated than that. Levine has several other projects he’s working on, like his show Songland, a show that is similar in theory to The Voice. Undiscovered songwriters pitch their best original songs to recording artists and music producers, in the hopes of winning a contract.

Levine also has his music career to focus on. His band, Maroon 5, is going on tour this summer. Something that will keep him away from his family or a few months. Because Levine has such a busy career, it’s likely that he just decided it was time to “move on” and focus on other projects. He’s been with The Voice for 16 seasons, and it felt like it was time for him to leave. More kids may have also been part of his reasoning, with less work, he may have more time for his family, but it’s unlikely that was the only reason Levine quit.

If you’re a Levine fan, and you’re feeling down that you won’t be able to watch him on The Voice anymore, turn on a Maroon 5 song. The signer’s lovely voice is sure to make you feel better.
