It’s the zodiac season that stings the most.
The sun moved into Scorpio yesterday at 7 p.m., and it’s already whipping up some intense feelings in the air.
“Scorpios suffer from a bad reputation, but they also have a powerful one,” New York astrologer and author Constance Stellas told The Post. “In my opinion, it’s the strongest sign of the zodiac.”
The season, which ends Nov. 21 at 11:45 p.m., coincides with Halloween and All Saints Day, which deal in the occult. The sign of the zodiac is most aligned with the planet Pluto who was the god of the underworld.
“If people are sensitive to such things, it can be a brooding or depressing month,” said Stellas, adding that Election Day is always a Scorpio season staple, which can potentially bring more weight to it. “This one election is so charged and anticipated with so much baggage around it, so saying it’s hell isn’t so inaccurate.”
This time of year, Scorpio season itself becomes an instant meme, since those born between Oct. 23 to Nov. 22 feel the pride of their sign and fully embody what the Farmer’s Almanac dubs the “most intense members of the Zodiac.”
Stellas said the complicated Scorpio is the only sign of the zodiac that is made up of three symbols — the scorpion, the eagle and the phoenix — and the combination makes for a very deep and potent personality.
The scorpion would rather die than lose the pleasure of stinging, which means they tend toward extremist, self-destructive behavior like too much sex or drugs or alcohol. The eagle soars high, but is also a hunter hyper-focused on getting its prey. The third aspect is the phoenix transforming from the ashes into a new being or energy.
“The reason the sign is so powerful is that they are all going toward that phoenix transformation, but not all of them get there. They aren’t fooling around. It’s a profound quest,” said Stellas. “They have a magnetic power of attracting people to them, but they aren’t flexible. Their personalities are almost intoxicating, but they are not cheerful and easy.”
All of these characteristics make them brilliant performers, humorists, healers and doctors. “Joaquin Phoenix is a Scorpio. He personifies the difficulties and the transformative ability of the sign,” said Stellas.
Another famous Scorpio? Joe Biden. “I make no predictions on the election, but we have seen him many times in his life overcome enormous tragedy and transform from them,” said Stellas. “And if we count all of the presidents of the United States, Scorpio is the second most represented sign. It’s only second to Aquarius.”
