Buckingham Palace are advertising a role for a Communications Officer to join their ‘busy’ team.
The role, which will be based at the palace, is described as ‘supporting the official duties of a number of different members of the Royal Family’.
Although it does not specify specific royal family members, it it thought to be primarily referring to the Queen, as attending the annual Garden Part is among the responsibilities listed.
However as there is also mention of travel abroad, the role could also cover duties for Harry and Meghan, who have recently separated from the Kensington Palace household and joined Buckingham Palace as their place of work.

The successful candidate will enjoy a salary package of £30,000, as well as free lunches and a generous holiday allowance.
The advert states: ‘You’ll handle queries from the press, prepare editorial website content, as well as manage the media for Royal engagements and official events in the UK and overseas.
‘You’ll be supporting the official duties of a number of different members of the Royal Family. The reaction to our work therefore is always high-profile, and reputation and impact will be at the forefront of all that you do.

‘Although based primarily at Buckingham Palace, you’ll also travel in the UK or overseas to support important visits and engagements, which will expand your skills further.
‘Whether covering a Garden Party, award ceremony or Royal engagement, you’ll make sure our communications consistently spark interest and reach a range of audiences.’
Describing the desired candidate, the advert continues: ‘Your excellent interpersonal skills will also be important, enabling you to develop relationships with a wide range of people, both internal and external.

‘With good judgement and sensitivity, you’ll be calm and diplomatic but also assertive, and will be eager to proactively contribute new ideas and creative content.’
This comes following reports the Duke and Duchess of Sussex are looking to recruit ‘his and hers’ aides from the Foreign Office to help with their global work.
A royal source said: ‘The Foreign Office as an organisation bears a lot of resemblance to the structure of the Royal Household, which is why staff are often selected from there.
‘The Duke and Duchess of Sussex will be doing a lot of travel so an appointment from this administration makes sense.’
Interviews are also being conducted for a new joint private secretary and the couple are understood to be seeking someone with previous experience at Buckingham Palace.
