Bachelor Nation has a lot to talk about these days. There’s Katie Thurston’s engagement to Blake Moynes, season 7 of Bachelor in Paradise, and even who the next Bachelor might be. His season won’t air until 2022, but wow, are there some great theories.
ABC executive Rob Mills told Variety that the possibilities for the upcoming season are basically endless. “Sometimes the pond is really dry — this season will be the opposite case. The pond is overstocked,” he said, adding that “one of the lessons we’ve learned is to really think of everybody to potentially be the Bachelor.”
“In the past, I think we’ve maybe made mistakes because we’ve overlooked people for whatever reason — maybe they’re too controversial or they weren’t that popular on their season, but there is no right or wrong so we should just talk to everyone and the right person will present themselves,” he continued.
From Katie’s old flames to stars from Bachelorette seasons past, plenty of guys seem like they’d be a great fit. Using some truly impressive super-sleuthing, the Internet is determined to figure out who is it long before ABC announces his name—so the only thing left to decide is, whose camp are you in?
Here are all of the potential contenders:

This single dad from Ohio broke so many hearts when he self-eliminated from Katie’s season after making it to the final four. The 36-year-old and his son, James, only had each other after Michael’s wife, Laura, died of breast cancer back in 2019. Although he seemed like one of Katie’s top choices, he ultimately decided to go home early after realizing how much he missed James (cue the tears).
After a brief return on Katie’s “Men Tell All” episode, during which he said he’d still like to pick up with Katie where they left off, fans began pushing for him to be the next Bachelor. “Me waiting for this finale to end so they can announce national treasure Michael A as bachelor,” one fan Tweeted.
