I told my mum in law I didn’t want to stay with her after my baby was born – she took apart my nursery & brought it home

AFTER refusing to stay with her mother-in-law after giving birth, one new mum tells how her husband's mum took apart her nursery.

Thinking her house was robbed, the woman found out that her MIL had set all her stuff up in her own home.

Taking to her TikTok account, the new mum tells how she was about to call the police when she realised it was her MIL's doing.

Posting under the domain @chcassie the woman said: "My husband travels for work. My MIL called me and offered that we stay at her house after I give birth."

"Because my husband will have to work and that I will need help with our baby. I told her no thank you, that we have already arranged that we will go to my moms after I get out of the hospital" she added.

After her polite refusal, the mum said that her MIL was irate and she had to turn her phone off, but what happened next was even more shocking.

"MIL began throwing A FIT and harassing me until I turned my phone off. We arrived home to find stuff missing from the nursery" she said.

Adding: "The mattress, blankets, clothes, diapers, and other essential stuff. At first, I thought my house had been robbed."

The mum was on the verge of calling the police when her brother in law came to the house and revealed the mum had set up all their belongings in her spare room.

"I was about to call the police when BIL arrived and explained that his mother(MIL) had taken the items back to her home, and set them up in the spare room," she said.

"Immediately, I called MIL and snapped" added the mum.

Instead of showing remorse, the mum said that her hubby's mum started calling her names when confronted.

"She called me bitter and rude while she was trying to help, she kept stalling, made it all about her feelings, instead of that she stole babies stuff," she said.

The popular post has been viewed a whopping 1.2 million times and received a range of comments.

"Why does she have a key to your house? Tell hubby to put his foot down" commented one person.

Another said: "Your house WAS robbed."

"Toxic mother-in-law's act like some of us don't have our own mothers. Like all of a sudden, she's the only one" commented a third.
