WHETHER they're clogging up our Instagram feeds or littering the pages of an interiors magazine, there's no denying that velvet footstools have become THE home trend of 2020.
But like that every interior trend – they come at a price. And an expensive one at that.
- Velvet Footstool, £12.99 from Home Bargains – buy now
Where high-end footstools can cost upwards of £150, Primark sent fans wild last week when they unveiled their £24 designer dupe.
And now Home Bargains has jumped on the velvet bandwagon too – but their stylish is offering is half the price of Primark's.
Debuting their two new styles on their Instagram page, the bargain-friendly footstools – which are part of the Ports of Call Jeff Banks range – have gold legs like the Primark version but in a hairpin style.
Available in mustard yellow and black, these trendy home staples will only set you back £12.99 – and the post racked up over 5,000 "likes" in under 24 hours.

But where there's normally an element of luck when shopping in Home Bargains (depending on the stock in your local store), you can actually order the designer footstool dupes online.
In other words, you'd better move quick if you fancy bagging one for your home.
