Get in shape with FREE yoga classes and give shape to your eyes with liquid liner – The Sun

THIS Friday is the International Day of Yoga celebrating the physical, mental and spiritual practice which originated in ancient India.

It is so important that Nice (The National Institute for Health and Care Excellence) said this month that employers should encourage staff to take a lunchtime class to tackle obesity. Today we have looked at yoga and trialed liquid liners…

Hot yoga

  • Hot yoga class – book now

This isn't one you can do on a lunchtime – I look like a sweaty beetroot after 90 minutes in a studio warmed to 40oC.

You do 26 poses that work every muscle, tendon, joint, ligament, organ and gland. It also moves oxygenated blood to the cells of your body. The sequence and poses are always the same so you can try to get better each time.

My favourite bit – I burned 500 calories in my last class. It's addictive, I love it.

Free class

  • Get a FREE Nuffield Health class – book now
  • Grab a FREE yoga lesson at Triyoga, Soho – book now

Studios around the country are offering free classes to celebrate – including London's posh triyoga where it can cost a very pricey £17 a go!  To grab a free lesson at their Soho centre follow the link above.

Nuffield Health is much more affordable with classes around the country. To get a free day pass to try out any of their classes and gyms see above.

New gear

  • Beachbody Women's Ombre Crop High Rise Tight, £50.00 – buy now

Beachbody launched fitness wear earlier this year and I'm a huge fan of their compression tights. So when they asked me to trial the these very lovely leggings that are perfect for yoga, I was thrilled.

Pink with a really high waist that holds you in and holes in the leg for extra detail. They look and feel great. However they are VERY see through so be careful when you're doing your down dog!

  • Gosh, Slanted Pro Liner, £6.99 – buy now

A long-lasting and waterproof liquid eyeliner claiming to stay put for up to 24 hours!

The dual-tip can be used for both thin and thick lines, simply turn 90 degrees for a thicker line.

It dries quickly and is totally smudge proof. It had the best staying-power of the three.

  • Ciaté, Stamp & Drag Liner, £15.00 – buy now

This eyeliner comes in two parts, one end features a triangular shaped stamp and one end is a liquid liner to complete the line.

This was super easy to use and guaranteed symmetrical wings every time – my favourite!

  • Kat Von D, Ultra Ink Liner, £17.00 – buy now

Liquid eyeliner with a flexible felt-tip applicator to make it easy to apply in one stroke.

Waterproof, smudge-proof and super-long wear.

Wasn't as easy to get the perfect shape with this as the other two unfortunately but the formula itself I liked.
