Blue Blue Japan‘s Spring/Summer 2021 collection is a vibrant medley of rich indigo dyes. The Japanese label has offered an eclectic assemblage of light layers cut from a variety of textured fabrics to give each piece a premium finish. Compared to last year’s SS20 range, this season’s lineup is a lot more minimal and features plenty of nuances.
This collection encompasses a trench coat, sleek leather jacket, traditional noragi, mesh cardigan, denim, short-sleeve button-ups and loose trousers, to mention a few. But beyond all the blue-colored pieces in the lineup, the label has also thrown in some neutral tones to mix things up, like cream-colored knitwear, a gray denim jacket and a white oxford shirt. One highlight in the collection is the trench coat that features a bold indigo dye that covers the left half of the body. The piece comes with a raglan construction, tonal buttons and a slightly loose fit, while its high cotton count gives it a smooth finish. Other garments like the floral short-sleeve button-up, embroidered flight jacket, knitted blazer and woven pants round off the expansive assemblage.
