Ulrika Jonsson, 53, took to social media yesterday as she announced she had had her Covid vaccine. At the time the presenter and model opened up on her “emotional” experience. While many comments on the post congratulated her on getting the jab, others questioned why the star was able to get the vaccine.

In a post to her 135,000 followers, Ulrika announced she had received the vaccine, saying: “This just happened.

“A) because I’m a celebrity; I badgered my local GP surgery and elbowed other more frail and more vulnerable people out of the way.

“Or. B) because I am my daughter’s carer.

“If you have negative thoughts, please keep them in your little mind.”

Ulrika went on to talk of how she found the process of getting the vaccine “terribly emotional”.

She continued: “I’m utterly grateful to all the people who have made these vaccines possible.

“My gratitude knows no bounds. I was terribly emotional. #vaccinated

A fourth questioned: “Why are some carer getting it and others aren’t? The person I care for is getting it early but not me….”

The post comes as Ulrika’s eldest daughter Bo had the vaccine earlier this week as she suffers from a congenital heart condition.

Ulrika has four children, Cameron, 26, Bo, 21, Martha, 16 and Malcolm, 12.

At the time, Ulrika shared a snap of her daughter holding up her vaccination card as she spoke of the relief she felt.

She wrote: “For all those with full hearts, functioning hearts, borrowed hearts, broken hearts and biologically faulty hearts, this has made my heart sing.

“Ungrateful with congenital heart defect has been vaccinated. And breathe…..”

Ulrika has since taken to her Instagram Stories as she shared an update of how she was feeling after having the vaccine.

Sharing a picture of herself laying down, she wrote: “Feel rotten. #vaccine.”
