Big congrats to J
I found myself sitting downstairs patiently waiting for Junior’s GCSE results to come through. The only catch was I had to wait for him to wake up as he begged me not to look without him! Sometime after 11am, he eventually staggered downstairs and we sat together to read them. It was a huge success! He passed all nine of his GCSEs, including an A for music (a chip off the old block!).
I’m so proud of all his hard work. I was an annoying parent, pushing him to study, but he’s now seen that hard work pays off. In all fairness, Emily helped him with maths and English as he needed to pass these for college. I told him he could pick a present from me and he asked for a Nike fleece tracksuit.
Huge congratulations to everyone who got their A-level and GCSE results during such a difficult year, it’s a massive achievement.
My thoughts are with Tyson
Tyson Fury and his wife Paris welcomed a baby daughter, Athena, recently, and she’s sadly been in intensive care.
I can imagine it’s a very traumatic thing for any parent to go through. A couple of years ago, I met Tyson when I hosted a boxing event and even introduced him on stage. We ended up with the whole room singing American Pie. He’s an unbelievable boxer and we had a good chat. I really hope his daughter will be OK.
The price of being Bootylicious
Beyoncé has opened up about the pressures of being a pop star and said in the past she spent “too much time on diets”.
On a smaller scale, I understand where she is coming from. I put the biggest pressure on myself by doing the video for Mysterious Girl. I watched everything I ate and trained two to three times a day so I had very little body fat. From then on, I was compared to that video.
That said, I don’t regret anything because it got me to where I am now.
The devastation in Greece
The wildfires in Greece are devastating to see. As someone of Greek/Cypriot descent, it’s a country that’s very close to my heart.
I pray for all those involved and hope there’s an end to it soon. It worries me what’s happening to our planet and that there are some people out there who still don’t believe climate change is real. More and more we’re seeing such extremes all over the world. Sadly, a lot of the damage is irreversible. We can all reduce our impact – even small changes can make a big difference.

Work, work, work
I headlined a show in Leicester last week and it was amazing. It was great to see people enjoying festival vibes, so thanks to everyone who came. Grease has also been incredible and we’ve been performing to sell-out crowds every night. All the audiences have been so hungry for live theatre. We’ve had some incredible reviews and again I want to thank everyone who is coming to these shows.
The cast and crew are fantastic. I was jealous that Emily and the kids got to go to Portugal, but I really am loving being back on stage.
