Kerry Katona debuted her new ink as she shared her latest tattoo in memory of her late Aunt Angela who was “like a sister” after she passed away last month from alcoholism.

The Atomic Kitten singer, 40, found a meaningful way to remember her aunt who left her three children and family heartbroken by crafting a memorial tattoo of a beautiful angel with her name written in cursive above.

Speaking fondly of her in a video posted on Instagram, she explained: “As you all know, our Angela passed away last month on the 18th and in aid of our Angela I want to get an angel on my arm."

Poking fun at her age, the mum of three jokingly asked her followers if many 40 year olds get sleeve tattoo while she sat in the parlour chair.

The mum of four, who recently told critics to 'mind their own business' after buying £2 million house, proudly showed off her tattoo template before she had the artwork permanently added to her body.

“This can go one of two ways I can look really cool, dead trendy or I’ll go look like a scaffolder and start wolf whistling at birds,” she joked.

The reality star shared the process with her 725,000 followers as she made sure to keep the occasion fun and upbeat.

Kerry, who recently shared plans to get a breast reduction, made sure to get her meaningful piece done at a place she could trust, as she made the trek to return to her regular parlour, Black and Even in Tunbridge Wells.

Throughout the lengthy appointment, she took regular breaks from the tattoo to sing loudly in the parlour “to help take her mind off how much it hurts.”

As the tattoo got closer to completion, Kerry admitted “I’m going to cry when this is done” as she thought fondly of her aunt.

Fans were quick to send in the compliments for her new artwork after a number of hours sat in pain in the tattoo parlour.

One user wrote: “Ahhh it’s really lovely Kerry x I got a small butterfly tattoo on my foot in memory of my mum she loves butterflies. I often see one in my garden and on flew alongside me when I was walking to collect my daughter from school.”

Another added: “Lovely gesture, I have a tattoo of my sister’s signature at the end of her letters to me. She’s gone a long time, I was only 11.”

A third added: “The attention to detail is outstanding, true artistic talent.”

The singer became visibly upset when talking about her late aunt as she revealed how Angela passed away.

Kerry shared the devastating news with her fans last month along with a series of pictures of the pair together at happier times in their youth.

She wrote: “Today we say goodbye to the life and soul of the party!

“Our Ange … Angela I loove you so much and gonna miss you more then you will ever know.

“You was my everything when I was a little girl, I wanted to be just like you. Thank you for all the crazy adventures we did together. Love you Ange,” followed by several heartbroken emojis.
