Katie Price paid tribute to her terminally ill mum Amy, after revealing she ‘doesn’t have long left’.
Amy was diagnosed with incurable idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis in 2017, meaning the lungs become scarred and breathing is difficult.
Katie recently explained that she only has 32% of her lung capacity left as her condition continues to deteriorate.
Taking to Instagram, the 42-year-old shared a sweet throwback with her fans, showing her mum dolled up in a red outfit.
‘Mummy you look beautiful in this picture three years ago,’ the mum-of-five wrote alongside the snap.
‘I love you to the moon and back as we say.’
Fans flooded the post with love, with many noting the resemblance between Amy and her granddaughter, Princess.
‘Princess is your mum’s double xx,’ one commented, as another agreed: ‘So much beauty an just like Princess [sic].’
An Instagram user replied: ‘Thinking of your Mum and your family. She is beautiful and powerful like her daughter.’
‘Awww Amy you look beautiful,’ a follower added. ‘I’ve always lived seeing u on Katie’s shows u are an amazing woman [sic].’
Amy recently revealed that she is in her ‘last couple of years’ after battling the condition since 2017.
During an appearance on Good Morning Britain in February, she told the hosts: ‘I’m very up and down really. Obviously it’s terminal. I should imagine I’m in my last couple of years now.
‘What with Covid and everything, if I catch a cold or Covid there’s no hope, so that would be the end of it for me.’
Katie recently fronted a short film on Steph’s Packed Lunch, investigating how those suffering with incurable illnesses can still embrace life with their families.
‘My mum’s pretty strong, she’s accepted it but she’s not one of these people who will dwell on it, even though I know it’s on your mind,’ she said in the clip.
‘My mum is my absolute rock, my absolute best friend,’ she added to Steph McGovern. ‘And to be told she’s got an incurable breathing disease breaks my heart.
‘Sadly, she hasn’t got long left to live.’
