It’s already a very special election day for Kanye West as the presidential hopeful voted for the first time in his life.
The rapper woke up bright and early today so he could give his vote to the one man that he can ‘truly trust’… himself!
The Jesus Walks hitmaker celebrated the occasion on Twitter: ‘God is so good. Today I am voting for the first time in my life for the President of the United States, and it’s for someone I truly trust…me.’
He added: ‘We will heal. We will cure.’
The Power hitmaker rapper has been running for office with vice presidential hopeful, 57-year-old Michelle Tidball, and is a write-in candidate after failing to get on the ballot in several States.
But that hasn’t stopped the determined rapper from giving one final push in his bid to beat President Donald Trump and Democratic candidate Joe Biden to the White House.
Last week saw Yeezy continued to push for votes with a new advert which was shared across two pages of Friday’s New York Times, and on the website Kanye2020.country.
His letter began: ‘Dear Future, I still believe in you. We still believe in you.’
The rapper stated his imagined future would see the nation ‘H.E.A.L.’ and ‘hold everyone accountable to love’.
It continued: ‘Our future will provide expecting families with a safe and secure plan that values every stage of life. Our future will provide a justice system that treats everyone equally regardless of their socioeconomic status.’
The rapper wrote: ‘Our future has food for everyone. Our future has love. Our future is free from debt, shame, guilt, worry, stress, war, greed, hate, misuse of power, prejudices, manipulation, and discrimination.
‘Jesus loves everyone. When I close my eyes, I see our God providing us with a bright future. I feel like a kid the night before Christmas when I think about our future.’
The letter concluded: ‘Dear Future, I still believe in you. I know the world is going to get better, but you need us as a people to heal. You need us to hold everyone accountable to love. God is love. Let’s lead with love. Our future is waiting on us.’
Kanye’s continued presidential bid came after Friends star Jennifer Aniston spoke out to tell fans that voting for the star is ‘not funny’.
And the actress is just one of the many famous names who have been using their platform to encourage citizens to get out and vote in this election.
