Jimmy Patton dead: Chuckle Brothers’ sibling dies 11 months after Barry Chuckle loses battles with cancer

Jimmy Patton has died just 11 months after the passing of his younger brother Barry Chuckle.

The 87 year old regularly appeared on Paul and Barry Chuckle’s hit show Chucklevision.

Comedian Jimmy’s death was announced in a post on the official Chuckle Brothers Facebook page.

The post reads: “I just thought I’d let you know that the Chuckle Brothers older Brother Jimmy Patton has sadly passed away.

“Jimmy was a big part of chucklevision and the stage shows where he played the character No Slacking.”

The message was finished with the touching tribute: “RIP Jim Lad. And No Slacking.”

His death comes just two years after he married 27 year old Chuckle Brothers fan, Amy Phillips.

Jimmy spoke of his heartbreak over his younger brother Barry’s death last August.

He said: “We are all devastated. Barry had bone cancer which had spread to his lungs.

“He was ill for years, but kept it hidden. We knew about it, but kept it quiet, and all the family are really hurting right now.”

He continued to tell The Sun: “He needed oxygen from a tank and was gulping for air — he was in a very bad way.”

His last public appearance was at Barry’s funeral, where he was helped by wife Amy.

The star looked frail as he was made his way into the ceremony on a pair of crutches.
