Piers Morgan took a swipe at the Duke and Duchess of Sussex this week after praising their cousins Princesses Eugenie and Beatrice. The 56-year-old said the sisters were always “incredibly nice” and “good fun” whenever he bumped into them at events.

Earlier this month, Piers met the royals at a party in London, he wrote in his column for the Daily Mail.

The father-of-four offered parenting tips to the mum-to-be and new mum.

Princess Beatrice, 32, who attended the do with her husband Eduardo Mapelli Mozzi, recently announced that she is expecting a baby with her spouse this Autumn.

Meanwhile, younger sister Princess Eugenie, 31, recently gave birth to first child with her husband Jack Brooksbank.

“I’ve known both Princesses since they were very young, and they’ve been through a lot of tough times in the media spotlight, especially lately over their father Prince Andrew’s shameful friendship with billionaire paedophile Jeffrey Epstein.”

“But they never complain, or give whining interviews, or publicly trash their family.

“They’re always incredibly nice, polite and good fun – which all makes such a refreshing change from their narcissistic, self-pitying, family-abusing, spoiled-brat cousins over in California,” he went on to say.

Prince Andrew and Sarah Ferguson’s eldest daughter announced her pregnancy in a royal statement earlier this month.

It read: ‘Her Royal Highness Princess Beatrice and Mr Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi are very pleased to announce that they are expecting a baby in autumn of this year.

“The Queen has been informed and both families are delighted with the news.”

In a break from tradition, her sister shared her baby news on Instagram in 2020.

In September, Prince Eugenie posted a picture of a pair of adorable baby booties online, in view of her 1.5 million followers.

“Jack and I are so excited for early 2021…,” it read, followed by a baby emoji.

The couple, who tied the knot in 2018, welcomed son August into the world in February.

Meghan and Harry’s second child is due this summer and will be the Queen’s 11th great grandchild.

Harry and Meghan moved to the United States after stepping down as working royals.

They now live in Montecito in Santa Barbara with their two-year-old son Archie.

During a recent podcast appearance Harry said he felt “a little bit more free” living in America.

“Here, I can actually lift my head and I feel different,” he said of the move on Dax Shepard’s Armchair Expert series.
