Amanda Owen, 46, shared an update from her Ravenseat farm earlier today with her Twitter followers. However, alongside insight into what they’d been up to, she also revealed a frustrating delay to the work on their new farmhouse.

Posting in front of her 165,000 followers, Amanda shared some pictures at her farm.

Commenting on the weather, she shared a hopeful message about the start of spring.

She quoted Alexander Pope, writing: “Hope springs eternal in the human breast.

“So even though cold rain is falling & an icy wind blowing there’s a spring in her step, always is.”

However, an eagle-eyed follower noticed a broken roof behind her in the background of one picture.

Replying to the shepherdess, they wrote: “Still haven’t got the roof fixed then?”

Amanda then shared a frustrating update with the fan, telling them “Don’t get me started.”

Viewers of the Channel 5 show Our Yorkshire Farm will know that when it was filmed last year, Amanda and her family had bought a dilapidated farmhouse.

Called Anty Johns, the house is located one mile away from their Ravenseat farm.

So far in the series, they have been outlining their plans to make it usable.

One of the main issues about the spot is the roof.

This is partially caved in, which led to safety concerns when they surveyed the home.

In a recent episode of the show, Amanda and her husband Clive Owen spoke about their issues with the house.

Alongside the roof, it also had no water supply or electricity either.

Local specialist builder Steven Calvert even expressed his concerns to the couple.

He told them: “There’s no power, no water supply and no electric. We’ll need to find a spring.”

Now it seems some months later the Owen family are still struggling to fix up the property.

Alongside the housing issues, Amanda has also been updating her followers about their weather woes.

The particularly bad weather for this time of year has been a struggle for the farming family as well.

Replying to her post about spring, another fan asked: “Has it been a rainy cold today at Ravenseat ?”

To this, the Yorkshire Shepherdess replied: “Yes, very cold and rainy.”
